We left the traffic and tall buildings of Tokyo for the town of Fujiyoshida to see Mt. Fuji. A symmetrical volcanic cone, Mt. Fuji is the highest mountain in Japan at 12,400 ft. With rain in the forecast for the afternoon, we hoped to catch a glimpse of the mountain before it was hidden beneath the clouds. As you can see from our photos, we couldn't have asked for a more perfect day!
Lake Kawaguchiko
Nothing like a blueberry cone at Mt. Fuji
We were certainly out in the country...
we saw fishermen and chickens!
