I Just Want My Coffee

With the change in the weather, I've switched from my summer drink - an afternoon iced coffee, to my fall / winter drink - a morning latte. After dropping the Little Man off at school, all I want is a little coffee. I forgot it's not that easy in this crazy city. You see, you can get noodles at 7 a.m. here, but some coffee places don't open until 9 a.m. (or later!) With the Seattle-like weather we are having right now, is it too much to ask for Seattle-like coffee?

The noodle shop next our building opens at 7:00 a.m.

This coffee place doesn't open until 11:00 a.m.!

Is this some kind of joke?
