The Dirty Dish Shop

In a previous blog, I wrote about my love of Japanese pottery, both making it and buying it!  So when a "Mom Field Trip" was planned to the Dirty Dish Shop, I knew this would be my kind of store! It's not really called the Dirty Dish Shop, but foreigners use that name because everything is covered with a thin layer of dust and you can get pretty dirty looking around.

Although it was only a short distance outside of Tokyo,
I'm pretty sure I could never find this place by myself.
It's a small warehouse, located in a residential area.

Inside the shop - stacks of dirty dishes!

Everything is reasonably priced, but when you check out,
you get an additional 40% off your entire purchase. Great fun!
